Your ad-hominem attacks aside,

Yesterday is not today nor is it tomorrow - one must adapt methods to modern times. One would not march an army in 18th century European war formations onto a modern battlefield and expect to survive.

- “Ma Bell” had a monopoly largely due to their owning of the rights to telephone infrastructures such as telephone poles and lines and that made it impossible for for you to open “jhastey Bell”

According to your train of thought, free market would have allowed me to raise my own poles and lines for infrastructure according dependent on access to capital.
You assume that the core PHYSICAL internet infrastructure will always remain (or even currently is) equally accessible to all - however that isn’t where your theory falls apart.

It isn’t (just) PHYSICAL barriers currently preventing a FB/Twitter competitor from taking effective hold - there are capital (money) and technical barriers that make your “free-market solution” to this problem not only impractical but suicidal to Conservatives as a whole. That is the problem with being blindly adherent to single-thread trains of thought. That same blind following of that by the Chamber of Commerce RINOS is why Donald Trump is President and not Jeb Bush or John Kasich.

Perhaps you haven’t noticed, on both a national and international scale, FB and Twitter have taken on a reach and impact on our daily lives that far exceeds what Ma Bell could have ever dreamed of. The 2018 midterms and 2020 are critical to our survival and the survival of the Constitutional Republic that our Founding Fathers set up for us.
To do ANYTHING that allowed the Democrats to retake control of even one branch of Congress would be suicide for us. The “shadow-banning” and similar tactics used by FB/Twitter against Conservatives is just one tactic that the Democrat/Leftists are using to win those elections that would seal our fate. Ask any politician how hard it is to win an election if you can’t get your message out. If FB/Twitter had any inking in 2016 that Trump might actually win they would have used these same tactics and worse against us and we would have Hillary in the White House. If the Democrats take control of either the HoR or Senate in 2018 then we will have passed the point of no return to either extinction or a very bloody CWII - and we’re already in the “low-intensity conflict” stages of that CW as we speak.

Our Founding Fathers understood all too well that in order to maintain our liberty and Republic that from time to time unpleasant actions must be taken for the greater good - Eminent Domain is one example. Imposing Common Carrier rules on FB/Twitter is no different given their scope and ability to effect our Republic when they cease to be a neutral platform.

“You and I have the courage to say to our enemies, “There is a price we will not pay.” There is a point beyond which they must not advance.....You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on Earth, or we will sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness.” - Ronald Reagan

Assisted, largely, by free 0bama phones...distributed worldwide.

If you want to quote President Reagan:

“The most terrifying words in the English language are: I’m from the government and I’m here to help.”

It appears you want the government to help you in your quest to regulate business.

I will stand with President Reagan on his view of government and regulation.

“Government’s view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.”
