Remington has a very reasonable line of good quality knives, though they are made in China.
The one I bought last week was from China but is as good as any I have previously purchased in years gone by.
I did not want a knife suitable for skinning a deer just a little pocket knife. Walmart didn’t have one, Target did not have one, and I had asked at other stores to no avail.
I finally found one in a case tucked away in a corner high up on a shelf at a local ACE store which I had seen before. Some of the staff did not even know it was there.
No boy did not have a knife when I was growing up. You would have felt naked without one.
