I think a better statement that has actually held up to be true is, “Those who fail to learn history are doomed to repeat it.”
WWI was the “war to end war”. It wasn’t. Every large war has been declared throughout history as the “last war”.
I meant previous war. As long as there is one woman and two men, there will be war.
