U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions came to Boston yesterday to throw a spotlight on what he called theft from America by 25 mostly illegal immigrants charged with massive government fraud thats being blamed on shoddy oversight by the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Operation Double Trouble accounted for $200,000 in heisted Medicare, unemployment and public housing benefits. One of the suspects, the feds said, is a convicted killer who escaped from prison in Puerto Rico.
Across this city and across America, teachers, truck drivers, construction workers are going to work and paying taxes that are being stolen from the public treasury by fraudsters and criminals, Sessions said at a press conference held at the Seaport offices of U.S. Attorney Andrew E. Lelling.
These government programs are intended to help the poor, the elderly, American citizens not those that are trespassing in the country, he added. This kind of fraud is a theft from our seniors, a theft from our taxpayers, and a theft from the needy theft from America.
Gov. Charlie Baker defended the RMV, saying the state has significantly beefed up the fraud unit and worked with Homeland Security on the case. He called catching the cheats a high priority. He also said the REAL ID program, which requires proof of citizenship, has been a big help.
Registrar Erin Deveney said in a statement the RMV has added technology tools and enhanced training to help spot fraud.

200k and he ignores the $1B illegally funnel thru the Clinton Foundation?
Fraudulently documented foreigners have been ripping off the citizens for BILLION$$$$ for decades.
Both parties have been encouraging this theft, of our money and ultimately, of our country.
You’re talking about Massholes here. There is NO oversight of illegals in that state. They are a protected species.
If he’s looking for government waste/fraud he can start with himself.
I think Sessions would like to know there's a kid in our neighborhood with a lemonade stand and he waters down the lemonade when he starts to run low.
When that number starts will billion, he’ll be onto something.
If our government wanted to stop illegals from using someone elses social security number, it could do so. Most of the blame falls on Congress. They dont want to be responsible for passing any laws that benefit average working, law-abiding citizens.
Good old Sessions. Out there making speeches about fraudulent benefits while his subordinates are trying to overthrow the government.
The low life coward is the worst mistake Trump made.
200K? Apparently they allow Sessions to play a little small ball.
$200,000 down, $100 billion to go . . . . Its pathetic to put out a press release on something this inconsequential.
$200,000G? Does the G stand for Gazillion?
Maybe Jeffy is stirring from his long nap. We can dream, can’t we?
Oh boy our hard charging AG made a pinch for 220K. WOW, too bad deputy dog doesn’t investigate the real government crooks like Mueller, Clinton, McCabe, Holder, Lynch, Clapper, Brennan et al.
$200,000 doesnt sound like much in the grand scheme of things.

That’s about what it costs the taxpayers to pay Jeff Sessions for one year while he recuses himself from his job. He does nothing of substance to support the president but he collects a nice salary doing nothing.
Meanwhile, the Republic and the Rule of Law burns.
Jeff Sessions is guilty of Criminal Negligence, at least.
Jeff Sessions is proof that Donald Trump is human.
Jeff Sessions is doing a good job...for a county attorney. What a hapless fool and waste of a cabinet position.
Wow, a whole $200,000? Driiping faucets in federal buildings waste that much every day, and the Keeblerite has been AG for over a year? This is what's he's managed to accomplish?
