Hope social media tanks in general, as users realize there is far too much personal data of theirs on line, ripe for data mining, government surveillance, or worse.

If no conservatives are ever going to fight back on the “bird noises” then it becomes an echo chamber. Fine, one can say, let it be so, but then it becomes like the Dubya Bush administration, nobly refusing to answer the spurious nasty attacks and charges, and those things, completely unchallenged, go on to be believed.
I’m not sure we should drop out.
We’re here, right, talking to each other via this forum, but we also need to be education these dumb, young oafs. Or to put it another way, teaching our children.
My gig (beside Free Republic) is Reddit. I get horribly downvoted there, but I am always polite and educate/dispute/counter with facts as much as possible. If If I can change one or two people at a time with a good counter argument (on things such as socialism is terrible, Trump is doing the country—and therefore them—good, conservatives DO NOT want to invoke the Handmaid’s Tale, etc., etc.) then I’ve done so much better than just talk about it on Free Republic.
Now that I’m semi-retired, I have plenty of time.
If you don’t want to do those things, I understand. It is often a lot of trouble for little result.
