Great question! How many former officials are still walking around with clearances that shouldn’t have them?
There’s no reason anyone should have them once they leave the White House. Same for any of their administrators.
The clearances don’t matter. Access is given on a “need to know” basis. Providing classified information to an unauthorized person without a “need to know” is crime even if the person has the proper clearances.
