You don’t even understand the first thing about Free Trade if you believe the current system is Free Trade; it is about as far from Free Trade as can be. Free Trade is the equilibrium position coming from free competition. There is NO former without the latter.

You obviously do not know that massive international corporations are NOT parts of free trade. Trading is between themselves at prices they set, they are above the market.

The theory initially assumes that there is competition in the market and no participant can affect market prices. We have an Oligarchic system not one of free competition and they essentially SET the prices.

Your hysteria and hatred are set off by a straw man and it makes you look ridiculous.

Maybe you should look up the word “free.”

Do we have free trade between the 50 states? Yes or no?

Not really, state laws impede to some extent the control by the International corporations and they interfere with the market all over the place. That is an important step towards free trade. But it doesn’t remove the other state involvements with its economy which stop progress toward free trade.

There are still big impediments to free trade between the states including the market controls I referenced earlier.

It was clearly the goal of the Founders to prevent states from imposing the biggest impediment to free trade. That is in the Constitution.

The Progressive Era produced all manner of state and federal regulations.

I don't know if you realize this but Rush just did a mea culpa on trade and admitted he was wrong all of these decades about trade, live in air a few minutes ago! He just admitted Perot was correct and the the one sided trade was pawned off as free trade and he was duped by economists. I just listened to him in amazed committing free trade heresy live. You Free Traitors™ are becoming an endangered species and lost your biggest spokesmen...

Rush is off my sh1t list. He is big man for doing that.

Rush - trade heretic!

I heard that and took the message that we should support Trump even when it goes against the Republican idea of few and low taxes. He repeatedly referred to Trump’s major goal, the ELIMINATION of tariffs. Our retaliatory tariffs are a weapon to that end.

Rush and Trump both want to better approach freer trade eventually remove tariffs and trade barriers which impacts our economy.

The tariff is a political hammer.

Their tariffs stay.

The “new face of the Democratic party” not only doesn’t play well in Peoria, but a lot of the coasts are “walking away” too.

Have you seen the DEMS NEW campaign slogan ?
