NEW: MoCo use map to highlight areas w/ highest amount of gang-related crime this year:

MS13 prevalent near Piney Branch/University Blvd. + downtown Wheaton
As D.C. gentrifies it is now becoming YOUR PROBLEM, Maryland.
(do I really need a sarc tag?)
I think we officially hit “$H!+hole Status ...”
The Utopia that is Maryland.
Family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande......... GWB
Act of love ........... Yeb!
This area has been sliding for decades.
Those areas used to be nice middle class suburban areas near Washington DC.
I had extended family and friends there, but haven’t been back in years. But it always was painful, to the back and visit, and see how those areas had gone downhill.
HQ2 team, please pay attention, gang violence UP 72%
A few years ago it was the richest county in America.
Now it is a third world s**thole with sanctuaried illegal aliens and MS 13 run wild while the rich democrats (and amnesty loving George Will) live in secured enclaves free from the crime that surrounds them.
IIRC, Montgomery county went 75 percent Democrat. Why isn’t it a paradise?
Been spending most of their lives living in a gangster’s paradise.
Once upon a time.
Ha Ha Ha Ha. I know somebody crappy who bought a house there. Seeing the place go to chit is karma.
Ping
If people would just pay MS-13 their weekly rent, they wouldn’t be having these problems. /arc
Maryland “Freak State” PING!
/arc = /sarc
Ditto on the gentrification. People in the burbs swapped long commutes for quality of life. Now the commutes are brutal (and getting worse), the diversity is moving in and taking the streets and schools down with them, and DC is getting too expensive for bargain hunters to move back in. The saving grace for suburbanites is that they spend most of their non-work, waking hours in their cars, so they’re not much affected by the rot as long as they can afford private school tuition.
At the McDonald's closest to there, you need to speak Spanish at the Drive-Thru. Here's the neighborhood around that intersection:
People here live in fear: MS-13 menaces a community seven miles from the White House
