Boo hoo
Too bad, I remember when it was 3 cents, great stuff then. Terry and the Pirates, Dick Tracy, Smiling Jack, et.al., hey, I was about 6 yrs. old. Great gangster head lines, all the great mob hits, Mickey Jaeckle and Willy Sutton too. Oh, lets not forget and all those Liz Tailor weddings. Loved the Sunday editions with the colored cartoons. It was about 1 1/2” thick, not as thick as the NYT which was about 3 1/2”. Talk about conservation of the forests, the NYT certainly didn’t do it’s part. Yeah, back then they were all thick. The NYDN is on the rack locally in FLA, but its only about 1/4” thick now. Sign of the times, the news is at our finger tips now.
Hopefully they got rid of the liberal half.
The NY Post is conservative and they mocked the world of Weiner relentlessly.
I note the editors cut loose are ranting and raving about holding government to account.
These are the same editors, mind you, that watched proto Marxist DiBlasio and a thousand clones of his infest city govt and release literal and metaphorical sewage citywide.
Ping.
Their longtime employment of Mike Lupica is enough to warrant the shutdown of the paper.
Mind you, they paid Lupica, ostensibly a sports writer, for POLITICAL opinion. They could have saved handsomely by hiring a random pajama boy from a Starbucks.
More good news.
With the increased tariffs on news print, most of the left wing newspapers are increasing their subscription costs and bitching like hell.
President Trump, please keep increasing the tariffs on news print as eliminating left wing news papers is good for the environment and MAGA!
The NY Post headlines are outrageous! The writers should some kind of literary award for them.
I'm surprised people still buy newspapers at all. Along the Grand Central tracks, they have these giant newspaper recycling bins that used to have to get emptied several times a day. Now it might be weeks before they fill up. Everybody on the train with me are buried in iPhones, tablets and laptops. Very few newspaper readers are left.
“The Times is now charging separately for the crossword puzzle!”
Seriously?
Now I have something to throw in the face of a lib daughter who ONLY reads the NYT-—even though she lives out west.
.
Serious.
The paper chose by an act of commission to alienate a large portion of its potential customers by adhering to the liberal mantra day in and day out. This business model never works for any business—even a lemonade stand. They contributed to their own demise, and they succeeded in letting everyone know that they are a complete liberal rag.
I love stories with happy endings. Give them more time and the other half will be standing in the unemployment line.
They picked the wrong half of the population.
The people they cater to don’t need to buy newspapers.
They already know everything

couldn’t have happened to a better newspaper ...
firing half the staff to go in a “new direction”?
yeah, right. “new direction” here meaning “trying to stave off bankruptcy a bit longer by reducing costly employee salaries” ...
