Btw, I’m sure you recall they were not only outgunned, but were wrapped in layers of body armor which caused most of the police rounds to bounce off them. If not for the body armor, LAPD would have eliminated the threat much earlier...They would have never made it out of the parking lot without the armor.

If I remember correctly they had top dollar body armor, better than the military grade US forces are issued, combat helmets, goggles, they were probably amped up on drugs and feeling no pain too.

Important Rule: If you make people *think* you have a gun, legally you *do* have a gun.
There is no way for anyone in that bank to know that at the time. It was a good shoot from my perspective.
And btw, most bank robbers nowadays are not armed. It’s how they avoid long sentences if caught.

Nebraska State Trooper Mark Zach commits suicide because of a mistake he had made involving shooter Erick Vela. He arrested Vela a week earlier for carrying a concealed weapon, but Zach transposed two digits on the gun’s serial number. A check failed to show it was stolen.
I think they were anchor babies. Yeah illegal.
