Documents released on Saturday related to the wiretapping of former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page reveal information that contributed to the government’s application to monitor Page originated with the State Department under the Obama administration in October 2016.
That detail may be particularly relevant since numerous officials from John Kerry’s State Department have been fingered for playing roles in the distribution – and in one case, possibly also the compilation – of the largely discredited, 35-page anti-Trump dossier which focused in significant part on Page.
Winer related that while he was at the State Department, he repeatedly passed documents from Steele related to Russia to State officials, including to Victoria Nuland,...Over the next two years, I shared more than 100 of Steele’s reports with the Russia experts at the State Department, who continued to find them useful,” he wrote.
Besides bringing Steele’s dossier information to the State Department, Winer conceded that he also passed information from Blumenthal to Steele, specifically charges about Trump that originated with Shearer.

The real key is that there was ONE source for the information - Steele. The information was passed through state, Sen. Reid, CIA, the Brits, and DOJ (Bruce via his wife at Fusion). Let’s not forget they used McCain for this also.
It is the SAME INFORMATION! By laundering it through multiple sources they were able to represent to the court that state said XXX, CIA said XXX, British Intel said XXX, and they even threw in a news article leaked by who???? Steele! This was their method of corroborating the unverified and salacious (to quote Comey) information. It fails the Frank test in the courts as Dershowitz just said on Sunday Morning Futures. This means the basis for everything after that is corrupted.
Let’s not forget and few mention it any more, but it was not just the violation of civil rights under color of law against Page. The FISA warrant they obtained allowed them to surveil anyone Page spoke with and anyone those people spoke with.
The President was correct - he (Trump Tower and those within it) was “wiretapped.”
It did not stop there. The “unmasking” and wide dissemination of information (a new policy signed by Obama in his final months) within multiple agencies began a cascade of illegal leaking to the media to include the dust-up with General Flynn.
This is a HUGE scandal. The special counsel was appointed based on the media hysteria over the firing of Comey who oversaw what has to be recognized as a violation of the civil rights under color of law of multiple persons. In the end, I think EVERYONE charged from this investigation will have the cases thrown out. Fruit of the poisonous tree is a concrete legal opinion within American jurisprudence - no FISA application = no special counsel.
Bias is another concrete reason to throw out a case.... enter the FBI investigators.
The media can spin it however they wish, but this should be pretty clear based on the factual information that we know. I think Trump has known all of this for some time, but it has been to his advantage to allow the circus animals to keep performing. He knows the tent will come down at the end of the show and he will l look like the victim of the dirtiest political scheme in American history.
