Paid hit man, in my opinion. Relatives will be the initial suspects. If married, is his wife messing around? If he is widowed, those standing to inherit his estate is a possibility.
Doesn’t seem likely to be opioids.
This was no GP writing prescriptions, he was a very specialized surgeon.
Smells like a professional hit, not random murder.
The Bush connection seems to be very distant, but who knows.
Maybe Q will imply something.

I wish they would release such information every time there is a crime. Seems they only do so when they think it is a white person.

Over the past few months I wrote about the wife of this infamous A+ list drug dealer and her connections to the celebrity world in NYC who think it is all fun and games and cocktail parties when they see her or interact with her. She is treated almost like a party favor rather than someone who has the ability/connections to kill. That all changed this week. One of her relatives, who is now a very big deal in the drug world needed some surgery a few months ago. Life saving surgery. Our wife reached out to those in the know and this A list anchor who is the offspring of someone possibly even higher on the list gave her a name of someone who could help.
The relative used a fake name and came into the office with a security detachment of about a dozen people. The doctor was freaked out but the next day performed the surgery with several security in scrubs also in the room. After the surgery, the doctor called a law enforcement friend and told him what was going on. The friend was on vacation but said when he got back, he would look into it for the doctor. After a couple days, the patient was discharged and flew back to his own country. Several days after that, the friend of the doctor came back from vacation and went to the office of the doctor. He saw pictures of the patient and knew who it was right away. A very wanted man. They tried to get the doctor to get the patient back in the States for a followup visit several times but it never happened. A month later, the doctor was killed.

My thoughts as well. The shooter was a pro - not many people can shoot accurately while riding a bicycle, and while turned, looking back.

I’m pretty certain the shooter stopped his bike before firing.

Hausknecht was riding northbound Friday morning on Main Street at the intersection with Holcombe Boulevard when the gunman passed him, Houston police said. Two blocks later, the shooter turned around on his mountain bike and fired at least twice at Hausknecht, who immediately went down. The gunman fled on his bike, riding north.
Sounds to me like a Dindu who thought he was "disrespected" and went back to settle the score. Dollars to donuts.
My experience is a lot of doctors screw around with a lot of nurses.
Could be a million things. A distraught husband or father that the doctor lost on the table or a $100k bill the doctor did nothing about. Just a couple of the million possibilities.
Hope they get the shooter and hang him from a tall tree. Even if the doctor was somehow guilty of something bad; he at least deserved the dignity of a trial and jury of his peers.
