An argument over a handicapped parking spot at a convenience store in Florida led to a fatal shooting and the man who pulled the trigger won’t be arrested under the state’s “stand your ground” self-defense law, authorities said.
Pinellas County Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told reporters during a Friday press conference that Thursday’s shooting death of Markeis McGlockton, a 28-year-old father of three, is “within the bookends of stand your ground and within the bookends of force being justified,” the Tampa Bay Times reports.
“I’m not saying I agree with it, but I don’t make that call,” Gualtieri told reporters, adding that his agency will now forward the case to the State Attorney’s Office for a final decision.

I’m not sure how to respond to you. I support the police. In my business, I rely on them. My comment was to the point that this citizen’s actions are being questioned, whereas, if he had been a police officer, there would have been a lot less of an issue as to the “legalities” of the actions with the gun. For me, if I had just been thrown to the ground by anyone and I were armed, I’d have been coming up with my gun ASAP. None of us knows all the “nuances” of what transpired, but we do know that the Black guy attacked the guy who had a gun. “Tie base goes to the person being attacked!” If you don’t want to subject yourself to being shot, you should not attack anyone, because today, you don’t know who’s carrying!
Some folks need to learn not to go around assaulting people every time there is a disagreement. I’m glad he’s dead.

Back when the Internet and I were young I was on AOL.
AOL had these “Chat rooms” that when someone joined a room the program would announce to everyone “So and so (screen name)” “has entered the room”. I changed my screen name to “A man with a Gun”.
