You doubt these are native born Texans? How unkind of you. (do I need to say that’s sarcasm?) I’ve received some of these calls myself and for the life of me I’ve never been able to figure out how they make any money off their stupid calls. What kind of person talks to them? Had a message left just the other day from one for the first time in a couple of years and the person did not have an accent at all. I’ve always filed a complaint with the FCC before but didn’t think it was even worth doing any longer. I am sure delighted that some action has finally been taken..
“”Sunny Joshi, aka Sharad Ishwarlal Joshi and Sunny Mahashanker Joshi, 47, of Texas, was sentenced to serve 151 months in prison on the charge of money laundering conspiracy, and 120 months in prison on the charge of naturalization fraud to run concurrent followed by three years of supervised release. Ashvinbhai Chaudhari, 28, of Texas, was sentenced to serve 87 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release on one count of money laundering conspiracy. Nilesh Pandya, 54, of Texas, was sentenced to serve three years probation on one count of conspiracy.””
You'd be surprised.
Mostly older people who aren't particularly technologically savvy.
I know they’re not native Texans because we get a few of these scam calls a week, and they’re all some kind of Habibeebian. We’ve taken to either pranking them or cursing them outright, and the language they come back with is disgusting. I’m out of patience, and about out of niceness.
