As someone pointed out, the US as part of an agreement to remove nuclear weapons from the Ukraine made promises around guaranteeing the territorial integrity of said country. Why are we not at war with Russia over the Ukraine?

We do not have a treaty with the Ukraine that guarantees our coming to their defense in the event they are attacked. That's why.

Well for starters, the Ukraine was once part of the USSR, from what I read, Ukrainians seem to like being Russian.

To send one American solider to fight for the territorial dispute of Ukraine....it's their problem and has been regardless of government.
