1- Congress has no oversight function as relates to Presidential interpreters.

2- If the interpreter were to respond to a subpoena, he could use the Stzrok approach and respond that the information is classified and only the President can declassify.

Except that the interpreter, being a State Dept employee, would probably love sticking it to the President.
