Deep staters within the intel community? Yes. A fact.

Having said that, I do not trust the Russians one single bit! They are not our friends and they are out to do us harm; GRU, FSU you name it. We would be absolute idiots to operate in a fantasy world believing otherwise.

All of that is true. However the US is superior to Russia in every way - economics, military, etc. They need to get along with the US to stay a major player and both countries can do a lot of good in removing worldwide threats.

They may well have meddled in the election, but they are not alone. In my opinion the greatest threat is China. They have stolen huge amounts of military, space, and technology secrets and their spies are buried deep into our government and industry.

Frankly I suspect it is China who hacked the DNC computers and they were able make it look like Russia or some other. They have been known to do that before. Remember a few years ago when they shut down Wall Street by cyber means and then apologized says a mistake had been made.
