There are many things you can accuse President Donald Trump of. And treason is now apparently one of those after his controversial press conference with Russias President Vladimir Putin at their summit in Helsinki, Finland. But do lawyers agree?
Donald Trumps press conference performance in Helsinki rises to & exceeds the threshold of high crimes & misdemeanors, tweeted John Brennan, the former CIA director. It was nothing short of treasonous. Not only were Trumps comments imbecilic, he is wholly in the pocket of Putin. Republican Patriots: Where are you???
Brennans premise is that at the press conference, Trump appeared to side with Putin over Americas own intelligence agencies on the issue of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
Putin denies what the U.S. intelligence community is telling Trumpthat the Kremlin used cyberwarfare to undermine American democracy. And Trump, whose 2016 campaign is under investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller over suspicions of collusion with the Russian government, seems to believe Putin.

You helped me realize that “sealed” indictments means indictments whose existence aren’t made public, not just that the contents of the indictments aren’t made public.
“Natural born citizens are naturally citizens because they only have one nationality, thats what makes them natural born citizens.”
Not quite. It is a “legal” or “constitutional” TERM or more accurately a “STATUS”. However the “spirit” of the law (based on “natural law”) is that the president not have divided loyalties or sympathies to foreign countries.
Simply stated.....
A natural born citizen is someone born “in the country” by TWO citizen parents.
1. “born” This status (NBC) is derived by the circumstances of your birth, AT THE TIME OF YOUR BIRTH. THAT SECOND.
2. “in the country” At this time, to be 100% sure, you would have to have been born in the lower 48 states. Alaska and Hawaii are too recently added to the U.S. (1959). Alaska and Hawaii would have been territories NOT STATES. Different rules apply.
a. Territories and possessions have different laws, rules, status, than “states”. Being born in a U.S. territory or possessions doesn’t even necessarily mean you are a U.S. citizen (even in Puerto Rico it depends on what year you were born), let alone a “natural born” citizen.
b. Embassies (in foreign countries), military bases (in foreign countries), aboard U.S. ships (outside U.S. waters) or planes (not over U.S. territory) have NEVER been U.S. territory. “Citizenship in these cases would be based on the citizenship of the parent(s). “Natural Born status however would NOT apply. NOT born “in the country”.
3. “TWO” The description in “The Law of Nations” says “parentS”, with an “S”, PLURAL, BOTH.
4. “Citizen parents” Since NBC status is determined at the moment of birth, the citizenship of the parents AT THAT TIME is also controlling. Whether native or naturalized, they HAVE TO BE citizens THEN.
Being a “natural born citizen” is a “STATUS” only applying to the eligibility for president (and later, vice president) of the United States.
There are only TWO actual types of U.S. citizenship.
1. Native: born a citizen.
Either by being born “in the country” or by citizen parent(s). Only one required.
2. Naturalized: Being made a citizen by the government. A document granting citizenship.
I spent two years looking into this. It is more than opinion. No, I’m not going to give footnotes, do your own research, it’s all online.
I would rather take a political risk in pursuit of peace than to risk peace in pursuit of politics. As president, I will always put what is best for America and what is best for the American people. - President Trump at Helsinki, July 16, 2018
LOL! Perfect.
They have Trump saying that Putin denied it.
That’s treason.
How so?
I agree, I was simplifying for the people who think Anwar Al-Awlaki’s kids born in Yemen are natural born citizens eligible to be President.
Their status is no different than Ted Cruz.
How about extraditing the Russian Businessman who gave $400,000,000 (400 million) to Hillary’s campaign.???
He quit his US citizenship around 15 years ago...on taxation issues.
I think if we dig into the $400 million...what you will find is that he created various ‘funnels’, and in a public way...no more than a couple of million went direct to Hillary...maybe fifty to a hundred million went to pro-Hillary PACs. The rest? Only my suspicion, but I think that Democratic Senators/fake GOP Senators, and a host of Governors...got a big chunk.
I think he wanted to grease the rails here and have the inside seat to dozens of favorable actions...all adding billions to his pocket for eight years of Hillary and a group of Democratic Senators and fake GOP Senators.
There is zero chance that she got the whole 400 million.
On this guy? He is a Brit, and he’s probably paid off the May-camp for arranging the BREXIT to occur in a certain way. Putin might go and reveal that part of the story shortly as well.
Well it might be an out...send the people involved with the money movement out of Russia all along the path to where it ended up . I can think of some I would love to see in shackles getting on a plane to Russia.
First off, treason is defined by the US Constitution as aiding an enemy in a time of war and we are not at war with Russia.
So, this entire article is nothing but an anti-Trump hit piece by its mere title.
excellent response for brennan and Trumps “treason”
Dems are calling the hacking of Dems emails another Pearl Harbor and an act of war.
Including Flake, McCain, Graham, Ryan,...
Never heard anything about that. I was under the impression that these guys never set foot outside of St. Petersburg so why would they?
I think this is exactly what is going on, on social media the usual screaming about everything Trump but a fair number of posts of the "When are Trump supporters going to wise up?" and "Do you really support Trump doing this?" designed to trigger doubt. Sprinkled in are the "Oh I have always been a R, and always supported Trump but this is it for me..." done with so much drama you know it is a lie.
The best part is when that happens on a post Trump supporters swarm that post. Good watching!
That phrase is a calling card for a person working out of a democrat war room...
I like how you think POTUS thinks. HA Hope you are right!
According to Dan Bongino, the new group of Russians who were indicted are military and can’t leave the country without Putin’s say so. They were indicted to replace the original 13 who were indicted and came to this country unexpectedly, throwing a monkey wrench into Mueller’s plans, according to Bongino. The timing was also deliberate.
