Police in New Jersey have officially crossed the [thin blue] line and literally attempted to confiscate guns from an army veteran without a warrant. But it didn’t go as planned, because Leonard Cottrell Jr. refused to comply with the orders of the cops.
Eventually, all gun confiscation will be carried out by the police; who of “don’t make the laws, they just enforce them,” and Cottrell found this out the hard way. After serving two tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom overseas, Cottrell found himself at end of the state’s tyrannical oppression and gun elimination scheme.

But still, yeah. Cops will follow orders to confiscate without any apprehension.
I’m from CT and I’m here to tell you that given the orders, the people will comply and the police will enforce. Period.

According to The Daily Wire, two police officers were given orders to go to Cottrell’s home to confiscate his guns. The order followers complied, and “because [Cottrell’s] 13-year-old son had made a comment at school about the Millstone Middle School’s security, and the officers wanted to confiscate Cottrell’s firearms as part of an investigation,” NJ.com reported. But Cottrell disobeyed and defied the orders of the police.
Cottrell legally owns a shotgun and a handgun (not quite a cache of weapons by any stretch of the imagination) but based solely on comments made by his 13-year-old son, police demanded all his guns. According to the report by The Daily Wire, Cottrell says that his wife let the officers into their home and let them search their sons’ room where they did not find any weapons. But the search didn’t end there. The officers then made attempts to try to take his firearms, which “he has all the correct permits to own.”
“No one from the state was going to take my firearms without due process,” Cottrell said, according to NJ.com. According to New Jersey law, signed into lawCottrell’s disobedience is “illegal.” Democrat Governor Phil Murphy a bill that makes it incredibly easy for law enforcement to confiscate firearms without due process and for seemingly any reason the state deems.

Cottrell said that his son is also very upset by the situation. The teenager did not do anything wrong and the entire situation is being misconstrued and blown up. “He didn’t do anything wrong, and he doesn’t understand why it happened — he was just having a conversation with nothing as far as threats,” Cottrell said. “It shouldn’t have blown up the way it did. But he understands it happened, there are consequences and there’s fallout from his actions.”

Honestly, I’m surprised SHTFplan is still allowed links on FR.
I’ve never know it to be banned or blocked (like Lew Rockwell or Alex Jones) but it can be obnoxious for various reasons. Since it’s not excerpt-only I figure that if it has a story worth posting, at least post the whole thing so that folks can read it and then go on to click at their own risk if they care to.

Yeah, I can see that. I’ll be more vigilant in the future.
But just incase anyone is keeping notes... I disagree with Alex Jones being blocked from FR. I wasn’t even aware of Lew Rockwell’s status here.
How did he stop them? Why wasn’t he arrested? Poor reporting.
Jones is a mixed bag. Sometimes he seems like he’s got it together (he did seem to help with Trump’s campaign in the early stages) and then sometimes he does something really off the wall. Been a while though, so not coming up with any examples at the moment.

Jones seems to have no concept of PR whatsoever.
He has fun, and many view that as just being a whackjob. But on the left that TYT a-hole, Jerk Urygur does the same thing and his viewers love him for it.
We need to take a step back. Alex Jones is a bit crazy, but for instance his interview with Piers Morgan was on point - There is no point to talking to the enemy. They won’t let you get your views out on their shows. So he just let it rip. IT’s what I would do, honestly.
There are people like Glenn Beck who pull people in.. get them to believe and want to respect him.. Then casually flip and try to bring people with him.
It’s duplicitous. And Alex isn’t duplicitous.
I respect how people like Ted Nugent operate over how people like Bill O’Reilly operate. I’m not a simple guy, I’m not looking to be entertained. I have finally understood the power of the word “but”.
It still doesn't say what his kid said that the police used to rationalize the raid.
If they have a warrant they'll come on in anyway about 8 seconds or less after knocking*. If they don't have a warrant, they'll either leave a note or not, and go away.
Reading a note left on your door is much safer than talking to a cop. The note can't claim you said something incriminating. The note can't purposely escalate the situation and then arrest you for nothing more than resisting arrest or disorderly conduct. The note can't taser you or shoot you because it "feared for its life".
*IMHO it's becoming essential to have your dwelling discreetly secured in such a manner that dynamic entry is nearly impossible. I won't go into detail because FR isn't that kind of website, so all I'll say is that there are ways which are safe and legal.

...And, they come back with the SWAT team with flash bang grenades and battering rams, etc., then shoot your dog.
