The other Framers felt it wasn't necessary to include it in The Bill of Rights but Madison insisted. Check out the NRA's Madison Club for more info. Yours is a moral relativist argument. yes slavery existed in the colonies ans later prior to The Civil War. The difference is the South started a war to preserve it.
