ONDON (AP) - A man has been charged in connection with a Greenpeace protest that breached a no-fly security zone and flew a banner close to the golf resort where President Donald Trump was staying, Scottish police said Sunday.
The paraglider carried a banner reading "Trump: Well Below Par" Friday night over Trump's Turnberry resort in western Scotland to protest his environmental policies. After the glider appeared, Trump was seen cutting across the grass, quickly heading to the entrance of the resort.
Police in Scotland said 55-year-old man was arrested and charged. They did not give further details. The man is due to appear at a local court Monday.

Technically he is wrong but in common parlance it means below average.
That said, this is a major security snafu. An assassin could easily carry an Uzi and swoop in for the kill. I’m sure they’ll review this for new protocols.
A no-fly zone had been enforced over the while Mr Trump was in residence.
At the time, Detective Inspector Stephen McCulloch said: “We are investigating a breach of the air exclusion zone over Turnberry Hotel, which is a criminal offence.
Greenpeace said they told Police Scotland about their intentions beforehand, as well as informing air traffic control at nearby Prestwick Airport.

I hope so but part of me worries that there may be still some Obamaite S.S. members like that woman who proudly said she wouldn't take a bullet for Trump. The Deep State's tentacles are in there as well.
JFK’s trust in the SS may have been misplaced, either in the sense of insufficient preparation, or outright betrayal.
Does it seem strange to anyone else that the media insist on calling this guy’s aircraft a “paraglider”? Can’t any of them call it by its correct name, a “paramotor” or at least “powered paraglider”?
I have used a paraglider on a couple of occasions but have never purchased one and definitely prefer to fly in one of our hang gliders or our ultralight airplane. I have to admit that these days I prefer to just fly around in our Piper Cherokee.
A friend of mine had a paramotor with a trike that he could take passengers in. He was actually a dealer for a while. The funny thing is that it had a top speed of just over 15mph, so several times the winds aloft were higher than that when he went flying so he could not make it back to the location where he launched from.
He liked to tell me that my ultralight plane was more dangerous than his “paramotor”. But I always rebutted by asking how safe it was not to be able to make it back to your landing area.
Maybe it does in common parlance. But they were at a golf course where below par is superior.
Your link is no good.
“Should’a just shot him down.”
With a whale harpoon.
In “Common Parlance?”

.
Confusing, to say the Least.
You expect intelligence from the left?
That’s hilarious....
Flying into a restricted area and going to jail for....praising Trump.
I hope they serve covfeve where he’ll be holed up
Lol
Police said the protester breached a no-fly zone over the Turnberry resort and committed a criminal offense. The environmental group said it informed police about the stunt before it took place.
If true, why was he not arrested?
If unable to locate him in time why was the US. Secret Service not informed?
Why was there not a sweep up of known Green Peace activists in advance of our president's arrival?
Why do Green Peace Anarchists escape charges nearly ever time such stunts are pulled?
Time for Rainbow Warrior action reprise, this time with all GP hands going down with the ship.
He is very lucky to have only been charged. I would have ordered security to shoot him out of the sky.
With a whale harpoon.
After rethinking it, they probably did not shoot because of the possibility of collateral damage from rounds coming down Heaven knows where.
Link to story is bad. Only has pictures of staff.
He was arrested, according to the news. I think what you mean is, why was he not arrested sooner?
I read in one story they informed police about 10 minutes before it happened. Why didn't they deploy helicopters, follow the glider, and have police swarm him when he landed?
1) Incompetence?
2) Trump-hating British authorities?
He should have been shot. Just my $.02.

Why is there no video of this event?
