The danger was that is what if he had an explosive device and they noticed at the last minute and shot him, the bomb could have very well just fallen on the President and his entourage.
They took a chance that he was unarmed, but the what if is scary, and the next time we all might not be so lucky.
Muslims can learn to fly paragliders, can’t they? Or should that be enraged democrats?
And they don't need to learn how to land it.
The entire incident was appalling. If the snipers were waiting to react after something happened, what happens on the 2nd, 3rd, and so on attempt? Eventually, they will have to react, and it might be too late by then. After all, that side already shot up a baseball field, and are threatening people in the street when they leave their house or a restaurant. Enough is enough.
If they think the paraglider is a non-harmful joke, maybe a pantload of buckshot would discourage the next one.
