It’s sad that there is no Trump-like lion leader in England, and that the Brits who want Brexit are forced to feel so demoralized and scaremongered out of their better instincts.
But it could be worse...
If there is any lesson in Brexit, is that you cannot and must not rely on the euphoria of an initial victory. You have to fight the good fight and persevere to sustain the mission. After the battle, the war is often just beginning. I don’t think Brexiters were prepared or resolute enough to see the thing through the long haul.
