Were they steel pants? Maybe they were pants worn by some of the freaks in a photo posted a couple of posts above this one?
I recall reading an article written in the early 90s, titled “Bruxelles, Tu Nous Étouffe!” (“Brussels, You Are Smothering Us!”) It documented some of the bureautic overreach evident even then, and things have only gotten worse. One example of overbearing bureaucracy was that a tradional Belgian jam made from carrots could no longer be sold as jam, since carrots are vegetables, not fruit. And so on, with example after example of bureaucrats in offices in Brussels making petty laws to complicate the lives of citizens all over Europe.
I wonder, if we were to ask young Socialists who they think is more suited to make decisions about their lives, would they think they are better off making their own decisions, or having some bureaucrat hundreds of miles away making those decisions? And if they answer that they want to make their own life decisions, then ask why do they support Socialism?
I just love it when the EUroweenies talk about Trump being a danger to Democracy...
