They were not sold that the White House was the best launching pad for a position on the D.C. Circuit.

Well if that were the launching pad, e.g. Harriet Myers, I would agree. But, if its just additional experience in an otherwise stellar career, it doesn't need to be seen as a negative.

Yes and who gives a DemoRat’s rear if he runs up some personal credit card debt? If he votes consistently conservative closely following constitutional principles then he’s a golden pic.

Gorsuch was an excellent replacement for the late Scalia, but he didn't change the ideological makeup of the Court.

Kavanaugh will be an excellent replacement for Kennedy, but positively changes the ideological makeup of the Court regarding only abortion and LGBTQIX1234 issues; everything else, no change.

Next will be a replacement of one of the Leftist Justices. That will cause a massive change in our direction to the Court's ideological makeup for at least a generation.

the Senate did not confirm Kavanaugh until 2006, by a vote of 57-36. Four Democratic senators voted in favor of his confirmation, but none remains in the Senate today.

Not true. Carper (D-Del) voted for him and remains in the Senate, though apparently he's already announced he won't be reprising his 'yea' vote.
