Major Breach as UK Security Allowed Protesting Paraglider to Fly Within Yards of Trump...

This was an appalling security breach that could have resulted in dozens killed and wounded–including President Trump.

Friday night soon after Trump arrived at his Trump Turnberry golf club in Scotland, a Greenpeace protester flying a motored paraglider with a large anti-Trump banner hanging below flew within yards overhead of Trump who was outside receiving guests, forcing him to race inside with his Secret Service detail.

Inexplicably, first U.K. security on the perimeter and then U.S. security on top and around the building allowed the paraglider to fly unmolested over Trump, members of his national security team, senior administration officials and dozens of guests assembled outside, and the building–and then allowed the flyer to escape!

This is the part that astounded me:

This could have been that guy's last earthly moment, had they been American swats up there. I'm just guessing they are the hotel's regular Scottish security for the building. Could be wrong. Certainly hope they were not USSS. if so, they could have shot the balloon and he would have fallen to earth. But as I think that through, not knowing if he was armed or suicide vested, they should have taken him out. Look how close he came not just to the President, but several of his top aides who were still on the lawn.

I think you mean the para-glider, not balloon.

Shooting parachutes usually does not disable them much, but a minigun would likely do it.

And it might have taken out several on the ground. They should have fired when he was still out over the water or the greens, since they no doubt had telescopic sights. I can see why they hesitated, though, since it could have easily been a harmless prank, as it seems in hindsight. But the next one may not be.

Our poor president is going to become a prisoner in the WH, like so many have complained of before. I don't recall even Bush and Reagan having it so bad, although Cindy Sheehan set up an encampment on the road leading to Dubya's ranch.

By air or drone is a new level of dangerous. The SS needs to make an example of the next one.
