I’ve watched a lot of homemade YouTube videos from fans there, they’re all having a great time, have nothing but good things to say about the time they’re having. I bet Red Square must be a blast.
Growing up, I despised the Soviet Union, I don’t feel the same way towards modern Russia. I see them more as a rival, and not an enemy.
Along with a photo of all of them together, my grandson texted:
Made some good friends in Russia today. To quote one of them, “Politics are shit, vodka is the ultimate language!” Throwing up the 5’s to celebrate Russia’s 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia.

He has several photos of all of them together. They plan to keep in touch on social media. I have a feeling he’ll visit again. When he was in high school, I remember him saying he’d like to visit Russia someday, so the World Cup was the perfect opportunity.
