I had a job as a gas station attendant in the mid 70s for a time. Not only did we pump the gas but we squeegeed the windshields and also checked the oil levels by request. If oil was needed we had the metal quarts stacked on the island and we would puncture the spout into the cans and pour. Dont find that anymore.

Worked in a gas station in the 70’s-early 80’s they were still using those cans then- We’ve still a few oil spouts-
Well, certainly not since....
"He Hates These Cans!"
I worked at a gas station from 76-80 while in High School.
Did all that and then some.
We had a regular woman customer that would pull in to get her car fueled up and checked out. While I was cleaning her windshield, she would pull her skirt up her legs a bit to give us a show. There were four us working the pump islands and it became a competition to see who got to her car first.
