I prefer a secular government, like atheists, but for different reasons. I think we should also elect Christian public servants, which does not violate separation of church and state like they try to claim. In a theocracy, you have fake religion for the purpose of power, when Jesus said “my kingdom is not of this world”. The lines between good and evil become blurred while I’d rather they were more clearly defined. We do end up with a lot of depravity in high places, but it would exist anyway no matter how you mask it.
Well, the folks who want a “Christian America” sure need to think it through. If it’s going to go beyond the Noahide laws — e.g. to the full Ten Commandments — this automatically raises the question of what to do with the generosity commands too.
