Ethics must be upheld at FBI
The Boston Herald ^ | 07-13-2108 | Herald Staff

Yesterday’s hearing on Capitol Hill featuring FBI agent Peter Strzok quickly turned into a political firefight among lawmakers, but overall it was a damning illustration of the toxic culture that exists within the Washington, D.C., beltway.

At one point, Oversight Committee Chairman Trey Gowdy confronted the former investigator over some anti-Trump texts he had sent. In 2016, after FBI lawyer Lisa Page asked Strzok if Trump would ever become the president, his response was, “No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it.”

Republican committee members read a number of Strzok’s vitriolic texts about Donald Trump and his supporters, and at one point Congressman Darrel Issa even directed Strzok to read them himself, which he did.

It was chilling to hear.

That same report highlighted routine unethical behavior on behalf of agents. “FBI employees received tickets to sporting events from journalists, went on golfing outings with media representatives, were treated to drinks and meals after work by reporters, and were the guests of journalists at nonpublic social events.”

There is a culture of corruption in parts of the federal government and it must be eradicated. Democrats must not let their disdain for President Trump stand in the way of a reckoning that needs to happen in certain corridors of Washington, D.C.

The people deserve good government.

There are a few papers that have not gone completely over to the left: NY Post, and Boston Herald. Most others are completely dedicated to the service of the left.

Upheld? How about hiring a bunch of folks who have a sense of ethics instead and establishing a no tolerance policy for unethical professional performance, e.g. reprimands, demotions, firings, where rights of innocent citizens have been injured, prosecutions, and where treason has occurred, public hangings.

That's ethics.

What if the “clean-up” of the FBI “leadership” was outsourced to the Mafia/Mob?

Very very sad.

The FBI used to be seen as a top notch organization. Now the Keystone Cops would run circles around them.

Strzok was a high ranking counter intelligence officer. His affair with Lisa Page is not just a personal matter. FBI regulations require that he disclose the affair to his superiors. Otherwise it is possible that he could be blackmailed and turned by foreign intelligence operative. Wonder if he in fact notified his superiors of his affair. Also affairs can become very expensive. Did Strzok have other sources of income over the past two years. If so, then who was paying him. Did he do “consulting work” for the Clinton Foundation?

The FBI needs a proper Roman decimation.

Reminds me of a dialogue from the movie 'Shooter':

"It's gotten too deep. It's not clear who can be trusted."

"But we're the FBI, son."

"Yeah, I know."

I’d trust the Mafia way more than the FBI. At least the Mafia isn’t subsidized on the taxpayers dime while at the same time castigating half the tax paying public

The Mafia has an honor code, unlike the FBI.

The attitude of the staff is a reflection of the attitude of the management.

Clean up the top and see what happens. This hardly ever happens though.

Like promotes like folks. The subordinates I pick and what I let them do demonstrates the kind of person I am.

He makes the perfect fall guy for the organization. It’s the sex outside marriage. Lying through his teeth. Jail or firing? The organization: Downsize as punishment will send a message throughout government.

Not that it applies here, but I remember reading about gays being denied security clearances...and blaming it on ‘discrimination’. But that wasn’t the case. While it was true that gays in the closet wouldn’t be allowed clearances, gays who were already ‘out’ would be given the clearances. Why, because the ones in the closet could be blackmailed, but that wasn’t the case for the ones open about it.

Same here, and the SAME ARGUMENT could have been applied to Bill Clinton and Monica, but never was.

Which begs the question; was Strzok mirandized?

The FBI is now a Naked Gun: 2018 version of entertainment.

Frank ‘Strzok’ Drebin, with his paramour Jane ‘humper pumper Page’ Spencer, and Captain Ed ‘Sessions’ Hocken (the George Kennedy character).

Definition of strzok verb

1 : arrogantly defending unethical behavior while feigning patriotism

… he lied during questioning where he strzoked and kept his job.

... Don't strzok me....

The FBI used to be seen as a top notch organization.

They never were. It's all PR. That place has been one screw-up after another since J Edgar Hoover.

35,000 employees and a budget of almost 9 billion. Can’t see much of anything changing in the FBI at this point, it was probably too late 50 years ago.
