Clinton tried to shake the image of Democrats being soft on crime - which is why he signed the Crime Bill and why he allowed US Border Patrol to enforce our existing laws. Since his Presidency, the Democrats have recognized that giving illegals citizenship and the vote is the best way to turn southwestern red states blue or at least purple and are now against even the most basic enforcement of our immigration laws.
Establishment Republicans like the Bushes don't mind this scenario so much as long as their constituents get the cheap labor that they want: so what if once decent neighborhoods are turned into Mesoamerican slums as long as the elites can have an obedient, ignorant Central American peasant mowing the lawn rather than an uppity American?
George Bush did twice. Last time in 2007 and Jeff Session was very important in stopping it
This is true, and Sessions is the first AG we've had in years who concerns himself with border enforcement, which is why I don't understand the Sessions hatefest on this site (or the idiots who think that Sessions ought to be replaced by Giuliani or Christie, both of whom favor amnesty for illegals).
The Sessions hatefest is well justified for many reasons- his recusal allowing the witch hunt to happen and continue unabated, wasting time and money ; for mutely standing by when Antifa and BLM thugs commit mayhem and are set free; for doing nothing substantial re: sanctuary cities, voter fraud, the border, the DNC cabal and upholding the rule of law.
But, Mark Levin loved him! *spit*
Also lets admit that Bill Clinton was forced to be conservative and middle of the road in some ways because America was a more socially conservative nation while he was President.
Now with Trump we have Democrats coming straight out for open borders and we have the #metoo and pussyhatter women. All this anti-white nonsense going around. America has spun more out of control socially since Clinton.
If GW Bush brought down America one notch then Obama brought it down five.
