The Montgomery Biscuits, the Double A affiliate of the Rays, will hold a Millennial Night on Saturday against the Mississippi Braves. The promotion will feature all the things that have become synonymous with life as a millennial: stagnant wages, a rising cost of living and crushing debt.
Oh wait, sorry. Theyre actually going to just be handing out participation trophies and serving avocados at the concession stands.
**SNIP**
The Biscuits arent even the only team pulling the same gimmick this year. The Lexington Legends Millennial Night was met with similar hostility in May, while the West Michigan Whitecaps are holding their own Millennial Night later this month. The El Paso Chihuahuas did theirs last season. Its not just pro ball, eitherBYU baseball held a Millennial Night in March.

I’m from this area. I remember when they selected the names. We could vote on them online. I did not choose the Biscuits.
The supposed idea was it was Southern. But biscuits? Why not Collard Greens or Chitlins?
Not like very many people attend the games.
Back about a month ago they had “Military Appreciation Night” and the stadium was maybe 1/3 full, and that’s even with the MAX fireworks.
Overall the stadium and the team has been a failure. It’s a colossal waste of taxpayers money thanks to that incompetent boob bobby bright, and made worse by the crooked used car salesman mayor they have now.
IMO, it’s a dump compared to what Chattanooga has.
And as a plus Chattanooga has more family oriented places to go before and after the games.
The only thing Montgomery has that may be better is the fireworks if/when they have them.
Yeah no kidding.
That’s what happens when you have two clueless people (the owners) pick a name instead of having something tied to the major league team they’re supposedly part of.
