“Viet Nam because somebody wanted a war to make money and it, like the prior conflict in Korea ended in a stalemate”

Wrong. Militarily we won the war.

The Tet offensive decimated the Viet Cong to a point to where they were no longer combat effective. The NVA also lost a lot of their best troops. In fact Tet was North Vietnam’s equivalent of nazi Germany’s Ardennes Counteroffensive.

If the Linebacker bombing campaign was allowed to continue for another two to three days the north would have folded like a cheap suit.

We only “lost” the war on political grounds because of traitors like walter kronkite and the rest of the lying media who went all in for their communist friends and turned the public against the war.

Agree, we won in that respect but not in the traditional model
As you said and we agree:

Korean War was a similar one, an agreement that is still in place to stop but not make peace. Vietnam is a place we can visit freely, North Korea, not so much, it can be done but not the same as if they are one nation
