remember when there were Freepers saying the whole affair was made up or a ruse? I was always wondering why they would just make that up. 2 married people shacking up with other people isn’t exactly a career booster or something the general public would look at with high esteem.
The FBI knew from the beginning that there were WAY TOO MANY emails back and forth between Strzok and Page to be easily explainable, so they had to make some excuse for it. Hence, the affair.
For them the alternative to an affair is a conspiracy to overthrow the US government. It is their cover story. Why else would they talk /text so much?
