>> BOTH parties have been determined to keep the borders open and the laws unenforced.<<

Cheap labor and cheap votes, so the hell with American citizens, their safety, and their job opportunities.

>>And in any event, sanctuary laws violate the 14th amendment since they discriminate against citizens in favor of illegal aliens: citizens are liable to prosecution for all violations of law (ask Gen. Flynn) no matter how trivial, while blanket exceptions are provided by the States to non-citizens for a laundry list of violations?<<

This is exactly the outcome to be expected when the Left (Liberals, Progressives, Socialists, Communists, and Democrats) steal elections or are otherwise voted into office by indoctrinated people who consequently have no critical thinking skills.

California Proposition 187

Struck down because liberals didn’t like it.

Black-robed oligarch trampled the expressed will of the majority of California voters.

Timeline of the demise of Prop 187 is here:

YES, I know it’s the ACLU, but they fully expose the interplay between the Circuit Court and the Clinton White House that ultimately led to Prop 187 being struck down.

The Proposition was absolutely legal at the time it was written and enacted by the voters of California. But, essentially, the MALDEF et. al. got Clinton to pass new immigration laws that preempted California from implementing Prop 187; they went to Washington and pulled political strings to get NEW LAWS with SPECIFIC LANGUAGE that rendered Prop 187 unconstitutional ex post facto.

And Trump won’t play ball with them.
