Pedophiles are rebranding themselves as “MAPs” or “Minor Attracted Persons” in an effort to gain acceptance and be included into the LGBT community.
According to Urban Dictionary, the blanket term MAP includes infantophiles (infants), pedophiles (pre-pubescent children), hebephiles (pubescent children), and ephebophiles (post-pubescent children). Some MAPs also refer to themselves as NOMAPs or “Non-Offending Minor Attracted Persons”.
These pedophiles seek to be a part of the LGBT+ community, even going so far as to make a “Pride” flag for Gay Pride Month.

I have a confession to make: I am attracted to women between the ages of twenty five and fifty years old.
Adultery used to cause the cheating spouse heavily in divorce court. Adulterers campaigned to make it hardly relevant.
For years, adults have campaigned to lower the age of consent with minors. We have a contingent of those on this very site, contending that if the parts already work young people should be fair game (how does that work out for the potential resulting babies? Not their problem - don't you dare hold the Freeper pervert brigade responsible for that) and the trend since the beginning of the sexual revolution has been ever downward one step at a time.
So your attempt to distinguish that pedophilia is still legal ignores entirely that the other activities it was contrasted with ALSO previously had legal consequences.
You're under fifty, aren't you? You do not realize how much has changed and just how rapid the change has come.

And the groups you mention, if not outright active in pedophila, have an attitude towards it anywhere from lenient to supportive.
