Tedra Cobb Tells Supporters She Wants ‘Assault Rifle’ Ban But ‘Cannot Say That’ in Public

Tedra Cobb, the Democratic candidate in New York's 21st Congressional District, told a group of teenage supporters that she supports a ban on certain firearms but won't say so publicly for fear of losing her election.

"When I was at this thing today, it was the first table I was at, a woman said, ‘How do you feel about assault rifles?' And I said they should be banned," Cobb can be heard saying in the video recorded by one of the attendees. "And I said, you know, people were getting up to go, to go get their lunch because it was a buffet, and I just said to her, I want you to know Cindy, I cannot say that."

Assault rifles are not for sale in US except those already made with a special permit.

Assault rifles are used by the military. Do not repeat the LEFT’s lies.

An assault weapon is an assault weapon when you use to assault someone.

It is a defensive weapon when you use it to defend yourself.

There will always be a boundary, I don’t think the second amendment gives citizens the right to own a nuclear weapon for example.

This is where a great many of us will be divided, because I believe the words "the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed" means, well that the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Our Founding Fathers were so brilliant, in so many ways. Many of their ideas were very simplistic and straight forward. They knew too well that "Tyranny is defined as that which is legal for the government but illegal for the citizenry." They were not building a tyrannical government; however, it seems that is EXACTLY into what it has morphed!

Accepting this level and type of tyranny is often done as a "compromise" and to show that certain boundaries can be set. But, this really just shows those who wish to REMOVE our Constitutionally protected rights, that some people are willing to compromise and sell-out EVERYONE'S RIGHTS. With that, the evil ones can push as far as they want, because they know that there will be those who will further compromise - over and over and over. Benjamin Franklin said it best, "He who would trade liberty for some temporary security, deserves neither liberty nor security."
