Your joking right? O really didn’t like them did he? He’s into R&B, though like most lefties he’s probably got tin ears.
I heard that outfit on the radio and they had a couple of good tunes. The red-book shtick seems a gimmick to compensate for the fact most of them are kind of,well— homely. If they plan to go big-time they’ll need a trainer, cosmetician, and plastic surgeon. (okay that was harsh—maybe just a trainer and some beauty magazine subscriptions.)
The anti-style style of the soviets showed up a few,years earlier, parody and mockery was behind it.
