The Reb Lieutenant shouted back, “Not in our camp, Guinness & Tullamore Dew”.

I've read that the South was much more representative of the Scots-Irish than was the North.

I wonder where they got the idea for the battle flag of the Army of Northern Virginia?

had heard that also. Mostly in the mountains of Western NC and GA. Not strong supporters of the Confederate cause though. They were very adept at lynching and tar & feathering Confederate draft officials. Seems like that was a problem up North, same fate awaited some draft officials in the mountains of Pennsylvania.
