this was a few years ago at the 135 anniversary reenactment of the Battle of Chancellorsville. I took a hit early and left the battlefield. The battle ended soon and a Confederate unit was marching the on road past me.
I shouted to them “It’s Miller time.” The Reb Lieutenant shouted back, “Not in our camp, Guinness & Tullamore Dew”.
I was a thirsty Yankee Capt. at the time, and asked if they would take me as a prisoner of war. We laughed, asked what unit, he replied 5th Alabama, where fromd, his reply, Boston Massachusetts. He asked me the same questions, my answer 79th New York, Norfolk Virginia. We both laughed and he said there was something wrong with that picture.
