That’s just their totalitarian instincts talking. They make no secret of the fact that they’d love to just outlaw the only other viable opposition party, the Republicans. Just outlaw it. Not fight for their ideas, such as they are, to prevail in the public marketplace, just outlaw the opposition. It’s not new, it was the goal of their long march through the institutions, such as media and academia.
