Exactly. Not sure why these threads keep popping up; must be a slow news day. FR is in the same boat as the MSM - there's a desperate need for content, no matter how mundane, redundant or useless.

At this point, with this nominee, the entire confirmation process is nothing more than a method of creating suitable campaign material for November. Those in opposition need clips, sound bites, statements, cases, decisions, opinions, etc that can be amplified, taken out of context, or simply outright lied about.

Mitch is sort of in the same boat as stadium cleanup staff waiting for a blow out game to finish. Practically everyone is gone, yet those remaining need to focus on getting their jobs done before heading home.
