Trump is probably wasting his time visiting Britain and spending time with Theresa ( soon to be looking for employment) May. Then again he might get a good sense of what Britain has become and realize that his initial instinct to leave NATO was correct. Americans should never again sacrifice blood and treasure on behalf of Western Europe. Washington was right. These costly foreign entanglements do nothing to enhance the security of the American people and have only created needless bitter enemies.

Kind of ironic that the nation that procured colonies to establish an empire of power, is now on the brink of becoming one of those colonies herself.

I love British history, have visited the British Isles, and enjoyed seeing the historic sites. Sadly though, the nation has been on a self-destruct course for a very long time. Whatever plagues occur in the future, are of their own doing, and I cannot have any sympathy for those who have let it happen.
