I believe three Democrats from red states supported Gorsuch, so if we get those again (and that is very possible here), we would have 53 even with Rand Paul being an ass. Not sure about whether McCain is able to vote (or is even alive at this point), so in that case we would have 52. Even if Collins and Murkowski were to defect, we would have 50 and Pence would provide the tiebreaker.

I think he’ll be confirmed, but it will take awhile as Kavanaugh has quite a paper trail.

If Rand Paul is a no, and McCain still collecting money for not representing the good people of Arizona, they’re in need of a few dem votes. I doubt those running for reelection in red states will throw their seats just to put the kibosh on this nominee.
