I am for the death penalty but I think that honoring a convict’s last meal requests is the honorable thing to do as it affirms that even though a man has to pay for his crimes he is still a human being. When you are about to take everything a man has, his life and his future, denying a small kindness is petty and does more harm to the executioners than the convict. Also, forbidding alchohol is something that only a pompous ass would do. There should be a maximum limit to be spent on a last meal, say $200, but if it is legal, then let them have it.

This guy, as most murderers, doesn't qualify.

I didn’t think I met too many certified human beings when I was on death row. Inmates do not get alcohol under any circumstances. They oftentimes make their own pruno, but it’s illegal to have alcohol in the joint.

Well stated! Allowing a last meal request says more about our humanity than his....

I’m with you on that- it’s not as if that many ever get executed.

Let them have steak and lobster if they want it, preferably with the company of a chaplain.
