President Trump tweeted out a video compilation on Sunday apparently aimed at critics who said he would never be president.
They just didnt get it, but they do now! Trump tweeted.
The video begins with footage from The Simpsons television show that replicates his escalator ride down Trump Tower to announce his presidential campaign in 2015.
The video, produced by YouTube user Elouai, consists of over 2-minutes of pundits, celebrities and politicians projecting that his opponent, Democrat Hillary Clinton, will win the 2016 presidential election.
It also features CNN coverage of election night, showcasing the states Trump won to secure 270 electoral votes.
Trump, who has been in office for well over 500 days, still brings up his presidential election often.
This week he repeated his inaccurate claim that former President Reagan didnt win the state of Wisconsin during his presidential race.
Take Wisconsin, I just left Wisconsin, Trump said at a campaign rally in Montana.
Reagan had his big win. He won every state except one, the great state of Wisconsin, Trump said. I won Wisconsin, first time since Dwight Eisenhower in 1952."
I didn't vote for Trump so that one day I could see his picture on a postage stamp.
There is plenty left to do and plenty of reason to distract and mislead our political opposition.
Every minute that the main stream media spend educating their listeners to the fact that Reagan won Wisconsin twice is a minute not spent trying to destroy Trump's nominee to the Supreme Court.
As an added dividend, millions of voters in Wisconsin will have their attention drawn to the fact that their parents supported Ronald Reagan. It's a win-win for us.
The only down-side is that the media gets to claim that Trump is incompetent, an opinion already held by their listeners.
it’s got a lot of dirt digging in it all right.
trump is crazy like a fox
Just a question... do you consider the F word just a cuss word? I don’t. When I grew up, that word meant something else... and it’s offensive to hear it used as common as it is today... lot of things today are hard... I’m no one to follow or give in.. I never was.. be a leader and do what is right.
I have a sweet 6 yr old grandson who hears that word and had to be told that was not to be used by him... this society makes kids minds go into things we did not have to go into... and it’s hard to see a little one be exposed to the dirt that is out there. Believe it or not, it wasn’t always like it is now.
It is a vulgarism. The context matters, I believe. to how evil its use would be. To say that something has been f-—’ed up, or to ask what the f-— has gone wrong when a serious and unexpected problem has been encountered, is to recognize and echo the profligate nature of sex in the modern day. To f-— a thing would be to have done something evil to a thing. A Christian wouldn’t talk in those terms (”about which it is a shame to mention”), but he could well understand it and not get all offended.
I sympathize with you. I am a teacher and I know how vile the everyday language and mannerisms are among youth. I grew up with foul-mouthed friends who would never have dared to utter these things around teachers and other officials. If you could walk the halls where I work, you’d be shocked at the language and mannerisms of our students. I’ve never gotten used to it after all these years; I tell you their behavior wears on your soul. That’s why lots of teachers just quit.
It’s vulgar and it’s not a word we should want our kids to use.. but they sure will and do... because it’s taught. Adults today have no boundries.. or the boundries are so wide and long that it seems there are none. Words like that one has been cleansed to be accetable language.. it’s not in my book.
I’m not of this generation who sees nothing wrong with today’s acceptable behavior. That’s why God made us to live only so long and then we die. We are so far from what is norm today... I know what used to be, was much better than what the kids have to grow up in today.
Schools are nothing like they used to be... teachers are not what we used to have... the news media is not what it was.. we live in an instant world... the computer brought a way to communicate instantly.. the world is on a fast train.. impatient to get there.
CNN was so funny election night as Blitzed got more and more desperate, demanding that John King find him more Hillary votes. Most entertaining evening Ive had on the TV in years.
I keep hearing your kind say such things, but they never seem to be able to give non-anecdotal examples of it working "in practice," and NEVER agree to defend the point with those who disagree.
Why is that?
One could easily get the idea such people are either obstructionists, or the right wing version of "virtue signaling."
How utterly conceited is it to voice ones opposition to a strategy that is clearly succeeding, and then lack the integrity to provide any sort of alternative beyond a hypothetical.
Here’s a context where I was glad to hear someone say “what the f-—.” I was trying to get a job at a company where I had done well in the past with a colleague who wanted to get me hired back to help with his projects. We ran into a lot of red tape, ultimately with the requisition expiring on us without our knowledge. When I told him, he said “what the f-—.” Believe me, I understood. Something had just gotten f-—’ed up. In a satanic way. But it lit a fire under them, and now they are trying to get me in with a contract to hire. If I may make a selfish aside, it would be to ask to pray for the situation. No the guy wasn’t all cussing when I worked with him before. But he’s not a believer either and I have to respect that and be ready for a bit of dirt every now and then without either internalizing it or getting all offended.
When we are NOT bothered by today’s language and habits, we will be in even worse trouble! I thank God for those who are offended by what is wrong.
I think Donald Trump is in a learning process. A better example of such a controlled manner would be Mike Pence.
Just watched that video. Omg is that good!!! Good for you, Mister President!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart again, Heartland Americans, for saving us!!! Nothing I could do afloat in CA where I am all but disenfranchised for presidential elections. What a great night that was.
We can be CONCERNED (caring) without being OFFENDED (stumbling). There is a difference. If someone cussed a little when telling me about something otherwise quite valuable, I would pardon it.
I would try to walk the difficult center, which is to be able to understand it without falling into it ourselves.
How in the world did we live without that word in our vocabulary?
I recall in English class, the teacher said there was always a better word than “got”. So we spent days trying to prove her wrong... she was right.
There is a better word than the F word to express one’s self. Come on.. to think that word has to be used in any situation... give me a break.. please..
That word is considered okay by you folks who use it. So, you have standards that have been lowered by society... that much I know... and it does not make for a better world for kids to grow up in.. that word being only one item that could be disected and included in all this.
John Oliver is my secret enemy crush. The one I hate that I crush on. I disagree with everything he says but his dimples are so cute when he cant avoid laughing at his own jokes.
*giggling* Absolutely.
Well to cavil about “got” is to be overly refined. One might be more careful in writing; in speaking we all know what to “get” a thing is to do, and if we have to speak quickly, the one-syllable word becomes king.
Watch out about putting me in a “you folks who use it” category just because I will understand it even though I won’t express myself in that way. I know what people mean when they use it, and why. And I don’t turn into a nattering nabob of negativism upon hearing it. Because of the profligate nature of modern sex, it almost always means an evil action. One can understand those used to evil without affirming that it’s the way to go.
You don't seem to appreciate the fact that our opposition has not left "civility" on the table for us to share a common ground with them.
Pacifism as a tactic worked against Ghandi's British opponents because of who those opponents were. Had his opposition been from the Axis powers, his efforts would have amounted to nothing more than a glut of new lampshades.
