To: Logical me
We're actually in position to leave the state (retired in 2017). I'm even willing to sell our house as-is (it needs quite a bit of work done) and leave money on the table just to get the hell out of California (we've both lived here our entire lives).

With our only child having move to Texas almost two years ago, I just have to convince myself I can live in the Texas heat and humidity for half the year.

I always see the rah rah Texas crowd I’m with you. Not really a Texas fan. And with their demographics i think they’ll eventually catch up to California.

What part of Texas?

Some parts....like west Texas, are arid (low humidity). Central TX is less humid than E/SE TX.

Where would you live the other half of the year (that’s not hot/humid)?
