I take coumadine, a generic medicine made from rat poison that thins your blood.

Coumadin is NOT made from rat poison!

Coumadin's origin is plant based, more specifically, spoiled sweet clover. This is how it was discovered as cattle ingesting spoiled sweet clover were suffering hemorrhagic consequences.

Coumadin is used as an ingredient in rat poison to promote internal hemorrhage and death.

So it’s an ingredient in rat poison!

I sure didn’t mean it was literally made from rat poison but this is what they told me at the Cardiologist.

My doc thinks I am bleeding internally, by the way, though it can’t be too bad. I am not in great pain and get around pretty well.

But I am anemic. Go figure.
