The land where the Lenin statue sits is owned by the Fremont Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber told the Seattle PI the statue was, “an integral part of the quirkiness of the neighborhood.”
Statues of Lenin are coming down in Russia and yet, Seattle still holds on tight.

Take down Lee’s statute, and replace it with Forrest. Lee surrendered and went home. Forrest developed the theory of asymmetrical warfare and brought a measure of freedom to the people for 3/4s of a century.
