You’re close here. But the reason to put a fail safe on a gun with a thumb print has nothing to do with the weapon. If they are sold on the street, you can be assured the system has been removed and it is just a gun again. And there’s nothing to stop the sales people from bringing in foreign country guns which have no responsibility to US laws.
This “idea” is not only flawed, it’s stupid it isn’t recognized to be flawed. Where do these idiots get these greater idiots to fall on their sword identified as fools? And they just keep coming.
